So I decided to play through the series properly- yay! Got my graph paper, and so far Might and Magic 1 is going nicely (albeit kind of overwhelming; the open world seems like a lot to map).
But this is my real question: When I tried playing Might and Magic 1 a few years ago I printed out a list of spells that I'm pretty sure I remember getting from the goodies included with the game. I'm almost positive it was here, I remember it was a single page that had all of the spells for Might and Magic 1 on one side, and MM2 on the other. It was quite convenient as I didn't have to keep scrolling through the manual- but I can't find it anymore! Was there ever such a thing? I can't find it in the extras, and I'm wondering if I'm missing it, or just remembering it wrong. But a single list of just spell names/costs in one place would really speed things up.

I found it... I believe it was under Might and Magic 3. The last page of the "Might and Magic Classics" reference card.
Nice! Back to exploring I suppose.
For the benefit of anyone else with this question, based on OP's description, I believe he means you should read pages 3 and 4 of PDF mm_3_4_5_sox_reference_card\Might and Magic Classics - Quick Reference Card.pdf, which you can get from mm_3_4_5_sox_reference_card.zip by downloading Might and Magic Classics (III, IV, V, Swords of Xeen) reference card (must be logged in to an account that has purchased Might and Magic 6 pack Limited Edition).
Neat. OP solves his own problem, and I get the credit just for formalizing it for the benefit of future readers. ;)

You can't mark your own post as solution.
When I find my own solution, my OCB hates leaving the thread as unsolved, so I just ask someone to quote the solution.

A bit off topic, but since your forum title says "I love gold!", I should warn you not to get too much gold or your gold will overflow and become zero or negative.

(I believe this can actually happen in some of the Might and Magic games; In Isles of Terra and the Xeen games, if you put money in the bank and let it accumulate interest for a long time (enough to pass 2 billion gold), your gold will overflow and you will lose it all. Of course, your characters will be old and decrepit by the time this happens.)
