Hi everyone,
I'm going to play Might And Magic 6 for the very first time, and I'm wondering if GrayFace's MM6 Patch is really worth installing. I know that it fixes a lot of bugs and adds new functionality, but I've heard some people saying it also causes some issues with the game music, or something like that. I actually don't care much about the new functionality and I'm more interested in the bug fixes, so I was wondering if it is really worth installing this patch, even if it "breaks" ingame music.

All major bugs are fixed in GOG version. GrayFace's Patch adds some features (like showing Attack Speed in numbers, adding mouselook etc.), but game is playable fine without that.

MM6 original is very polished game. All quests can be completed, there are no crashes or slowdowns, it is an outstanding example of good, polished and optimized game on its own.
I finished the game without it, there weren't any problems.

The one thing you should keep in mind is that dual-wielding is very nerfed without it, since the recovery of both weapons is added, so you're not really gaining any extra attacks and giving up the shield slot.
Thanks for the replies, guys! Good to know that all the major bugs have already been fixed in the GOG version. I guess I won't install the patch then, at least for now.
GrayFace patch also fixes the treasure chests. In the vanilla game sometimes you would only get part of the loot, but with the patch you can get all the loot by first emptying the chest and then re-opening it.

I may be misremembering, but I thought it had always been that way. I had played for years before getting the GF patch.
Might and Magic 6 just might be the rpg with the least bugs. Even when it came out there was a shockingly low amount of bugs in it. I don't think the game has ever even crashed on me, to be honest.

I actually discovered the "double" chests by accident in my latest playthrough and never saw it in my two previous non-patched playthroughs.
When asking about it at another forum I was told it was due to the GF patch.
