I can't seem to find any instructions as to how I can actually use MMExtension to install the HD textures. Could anyone help me out or at least provide some links?

Second that - no idea how to get MMExtension working in the first place - I have like 40 tabs open, read them all, and still no clue on how to get it to work =(

Can anyone post clear instructions?

Not that complicated... if you know the way...

1.) Download MMExtensions and unpack the file.
2.) Download MM6HD pack and unpack file.
3.) Move the ExeMods and Scripts folders from MMExtensions in your MM6 folder
4.) Move the MM6HD data folder content into the data folder in your MM6 game folder (2 .lod files)
5.) Move the MM6HD script file "mm6hd.lua" into the new Scripts\General folder
6.) Open MM6.ini and add the following 2 lines at the bottom:
[ExeMods]
MMExtensionINSERTYOURGAMEFOLDERPATHHERE\ExeMods\MMExtension.dll (without any blanks)
e.g.:
[ExeMods]
MMExtensionC:\Games\GOG\Might and Magic 6\ExeMods\MMExtension.dll
7.) Start MM6 and a short message should appear that shows you that MMExtension is working on the files
8.) Enjoy

Hope that works for you.
And yes, it took quite a while to figure that out due to the fact you can't find that info on GrayFace's homepage itself...

yo bro
apprrently i*m a retard so is it possible you can somehow make a vidio of how to do it...
thx
For some reason I can't get this to work.

I fowwowed the instructions step by step. Part 7 isn't working though. There is no short message saying MMExtension is working, and with I load the game it displays in standard textures.

Just gave this a try for the first time now. Seemed to work pretty well. Note that you'll only get the startup message the first time you load the game. The second time starting up will be a longer load. After that it'll load like normal.

So just to check....
*You've started by installing 2.4 mm6 patch? https://grayface.github.io/mm/#GrayFace-MM6-Patch

*You've double checked that the Scripts and ExeMods are in your MM6 folder and that the three MM6HD files have gone to their correct locations.
"hd.bitmaps.lod" and "hd.sprites.lod" in Might and Magic 6\data\
"mm6hd.lua" in Might and Magic 6\Scripts\General\

*You've edited the bottom of mm6.ini so that the location of MMExtension.dll is correctly pointed to?
e.g. In my case..

[ExeMods]
MMExtensionD:\Games\GOG\Might and Magic 6\ExeMods\MMExtension.dll
**Also make sure you look at his mouselook files if you haven't already. Gives a much more modern control feel!

Yes, all the files are in their proper places and the 2.4 patch installed. I also have this at the end of my mm6.ini;

[ExeMods]
MMExtensionE:\Games\Might and Magic 6\ExeMods\MMExtension.dll

Does anything pop-up in game when you push Ctrl-F1?

You should get something like the attached pic, if the MMExtension is loading....

EDIT: Also I'm running the game in XP SP2 compatibility mode, are you?
(I also recommend this to get hardware graphics mode enabled in MM7...)

I just installed the HD textures and it works great. No issues at all.

I installed using the offline back up installer and did not install on the program files directory.

Nothing pops up when I press F1, so I'm going to reinstall sometime later today. There's also a scetion in the patch 2.4 readme that states that there is a DataFiles switch (DataFiles=1) is the mm6.ini. I don't hame one. I tried to add one manually, but to no effect.
To help those who might be able to help you better than I can: was your MM6 installation by GoG Galaxy or by the downloaded offline ("backup") installer?
It got it working, at least I think. My game lookis like the screen shot that was posted. I still cam't bring up MMExtension menu by pressing Ctrl+F1, but when I reinstalled it gave that short message about MMExtension working.

Thanks for the help.
Hello everyone!
I have did everything as per list of actions and no patching menu was at the first launch.
Secondly the NPC are now twice as big and the textures on evrything is also has bigger size with as sort of distortion - the textures seem to have scaled up but the objects like houses and entrances remained the same.

what I did wrong?)
