I'm up to the RIGA chapter (just after the exiting the base camp along the man powered rail cart).

Up until now the entire experience has been on rails and although I'd eventually p[lay both 2033/Last Light eventually this is pushing it down the priority list quite a bit.

P.S. Metro 2033 seems well optimised even for HW below the min sys req though the game menus remind me of either Medal Of Honour or Call Of Duty (can't remember which). Clunky as f!@#, even Sin is better.

i finished 2033 long ago, had it on steam. The meat of the game it´s the atmosphere and story... the gameplay improves only on the sequel (last light) so basically you are here to understand the backstory of artyom and his misterious link with the "aliens".
The ghost sequence however is extremely well done and if you play in the dark and with headsets I assure you it will creep you out. it´s the best part :)
