Even if they are barebones ports like MGS that get the game to run on modern Windows, I would love to have Silent Hill 2-4 on GOG. Just sayin' :-)

I imagine they're currently being worked on, but if you haven't already you can vote on the community wishlist (easy way to show support for releases):

Problem is Silent Hill 2-4 had PC ports, the first was PS1 only. They arn't gonna release any on GOG that weren't already on PC.

Why not? Plenty of games previously only on PS2 have been ported onto PC, mostly into Steam of course, but if they see it will be profitable I have to think it's worth their time. I would absolutely buy the entire SIlent Hill series again the moment I saw it available, just like I did with all the Konami games just released here.

Cause there is no PC source, and most likely there is no source code available for the game, so it would have to be remade, which wouldnt be exactly as the original. There is no way to do it without reverse enginering or plain simple emulation. Looking as a PS1 game, there is little financial incentive to pour the resources into developing a port on these days.
Well, they have exactly done that with the Metal Gear GOG release. It's a "brand new PC version", based on the one present on the console HD Collection developed by BluePoint Games. They could that with Metal Gear 2 Solid Snake if they wish, in fact it's very strange they have done that with Metal Gear but not Metal Gear 2 Solid Snake, other than Metal Gear was already a PC game back in the day (but a shoddy DOS port of the NES version which obviously they haven't actually considered) and Metal Gear 2 Solid Snake never was.

Obviously this would still be a PlayStation game they would have to handle somehow, but yeah, they could perfectly do it based on what they have done with Metal Gear.

Actually, this isn't as crazy as it sounds. After all, when GOG sells you a game running on DOSbox, they're selling you an emulator with the game. So selling SNES/PSX games with an embedded emulator isn't so far fetched.

I'm one of those 27,000 votes who did it a few years ago :-)
If they sell well we might even see MGS V here. Wouldn't that be something?

Ah, I see now.

Still, with enough interest it could happen. I really wouldn't care if it were emulated or rebuilt or whatever. I bought the crappy Homecoming port on Steam just to show support for more of them. They already killed the dream of future Silent Hills, at least let us relive the nightmares past!

While I do have MGSV: Definitive (GZ+TPP) on Steam already - yeah, I'd love to see a DRM-FREE version of the Definitive Edition on GOG.

I'd also love to see MGS3 and MGS4 ported to PC, too.

And if they'd like - they could port that MGS HD Collection that was on Xbox platform too.

SH: Homecoming was on the PC too. That could also come to GOG, as far as I'm concerned.

I'd like to see the missing main SH games come to PC too.
So, that would likely be - Silent Hill 1; Silent Hill: Origins; Silent Hill: Shattered Memories; and Silent Hill: Downpour.
Well keep up the sales, they just put up Silent hill 4 the room!!! I'm hoping Silent hill1, 2 and 3 are not that far off behind!!!
