I love Shiny. All the games I played as a kid were made by Shiny or people that were closely affiliated with Shiny. To this day, I can't think of a game developer that really does surrealism as well as Shiny (though to be fair, Tim Schaefer comes close). Earthworm Jim is my favorite game ever, and MDK is my fifth, and I was excited when I found out there was a game by Shiny on the PC I never played.
So I bought this game for six bucks, installed it, tried running it, and frowned. The game simply did not run properly. I had a billion graphical bugs, heavy and severe lag, and slowed down audio.
Apparently there is a bit of incompatibility with this game and 64 bit. There were a number of workaround proposed on the GoG forums, but those had problems in one way or another. What I ended up doing is finding the executable for the Glide version, and then used a Glide wrapper to emulate 3DFX. Now the game runs fine.
And plays well too. The game is simply awesome. The story is fun, the graphics are decent for the time, the style is dark, but still humorous like all Shiny games and the soundtrack is pretty hardcore. In fact, I'd venture to say that since this game is relatively long and pretty fun, it's one of the best values you are going to get on GoG.
While it's not quite up to par with Earthworm Jim, it's up there and I'd highly recommend this game to anyone.
could you possibly explain the steps you took to get it running, please?

it would help the rest of us out immensely.

How to use a Glidewrapper is described here:

Zeckensack's Glidewrapper was published 2005 but runs surprisingly well with Windows7/64bit
