All, just downloaded MOHAA. At first it crashed right away. I tried the opengl32.dll thing and now it goes a little farther into the process before I get a message GLW_StartOpenGL() - could not load OpenGL subsystem. The process stops there and you have to quit. I have it running as administrator and in compatibility mode. Win10 on an ASUS board standard graphics card.. Ideas???

I was having trouble getting the Spearhead and Breakthrough expansions to run without crashing on start, but I found a simple solution on another forum that got them both to work. I'm going to post it here in case anyone is having the same issue. Also disclaimer: I've never had a problem getting the main Allied Assault game to run.

1. Go to the game folder

2. Rename MOHAA.exe to something else. I always do something like MOHAA_original.exe.

3. Rename the Spearhead or Breakthrough exe file to MOHAA.exe (ensure only one MOHAA.exe in the game folder at a time)

4. Whenever you feel like switching to the other expansion or back to the main game, repeat the same process.

For whatever reason, the expansions won't run unless their exe file is named MOHAA.exe.

I replaced the spearhead file with the original one but the issue remains same.... mohaa is running fine...but when i launch spearhead...it opens for a second showing black screen and then automatically exits.

Thanks you for providing this iv been searching for 2 days trying to get this working on my Linux, i run Manjaro arch based Linux and wine seems to work well with it i was getting a grey screen upon start up i copied this EXE file in to the .wine the C_drive then found the installation folder and replaced the MOHAA.exe with this one that you posted and it started straight away. so happy thanks so much dude. jus need a multiplayer patch now, think there is one out there somewhere

PS i have the war chest edition with Allied assault, Allied assault spearhead and Allied Assault: Breakthrough, so if you have any more .exe files lying around for these other two pop up um in the thread :) thanks i tried open them other ones but they still give me grey screen :(

this is the screen the loads up press ` and and console disappears the can access everything except multiplayer does not find any servers heard gamespy no longer support but there is a patch that gives access to multiplayer apparently

after pressed console button i run 2 screens laptop and extra screen

If anyone alse manages to get it Up and running and want multiplayer then follow this post, down load the patch program created by a interdependent programmer and it will auto patch the correct one that you have, follow the instructions and you will have access to multiplayer internet servers. GOG wont allow me to post links yet so go on you tube search mohaa multiplayer patch and its the first vid follow that and there is a link in the description
