Hello Everybody

I am having the same problem as DanielMF when i try and play this game.

I have tried all the suggestions recommended here by Alfie3000 and so far all i can get is a blank gray coloured screen with the consol window open behind it.

Sometimes i can't even get this far and it crashes back out to my desktop where the game reccomends starting it in safe mode, however even this does not work.

I am trying to run the game on a laptop with the following specifications

Acer Aspire 5755G

CPU: Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-2630QM CPU @ 2.00GHz, 2001 Mhz, 4 Core(s), 8 Logical Processor(s)

RAM: 8 GB

Graphics: NVIDIA GEFORCE GT 540M CUDA with 2 GB of RAM - Latest video card drivers are installed

Operating System: Windows 7 64 Bit Home Premium

Best Regards
Thanks for the Hints Alfie3000 - I tried them, but just like in the case of PrivateLSD it didnt work for me.

Btw.: The message is not showing up anymore, the Q3-Engine is starting, but all i got is a black screen and after a short while im back in windows 7 and its telling me "MoH AA is not working any more". :(

I'm running out of things to suggest. You might still be having a problem with opengl. You could try copying the opengl32.dll from the windows/system32 folder and paste it in the game directory to overwrite the old and out of date one that comes with the game.

Also, have you tried compatibility settings? running it in XP might work.

Pseudocreobotra: Graphics: ATI Radeon X1200 Series (shared graphics)
Have you tried disabling shared graphics? It might be trying to run the game using the integrated graphics instead of the actual card.
same problem for me!!! really frustrating, i was REALLY looking forward to playing it.

i tried setting my resolution to the lowest setting (800X600) and starting it then but no luck. i got a GeForce GT 525M.
Make sure you've sent a support ticket if your still having problems.

The other thing I can suggest is to make sure you've installed your graphics drivers from Nvidia/ATI and not Windows update. DirectX shouldn't be a problem as it uses OpenGL instead but you could try running the DirectX 9 installer again.

If you have the time you could try testing other Quake3/OpenGL games to see if they run. (Free games are: Wolfenstein: Enemy Territory/Urban Terror/Tremulous/World of Padman/Smokin Guns/Open Arena/Quake Live) If you still get a grey screen or an OpenGL error it's more likely to be a driver issue.
If your getting a grey screen or it's not responding on startup. Try disabling your antivirus / firewall. MOHAA brings up a Windows firewall alert before the intro is even played. The game hangs/crashes if its not allowed.
Oddly enough, the main, non-expansion game is the only one that doesn't work for me, and I've got updated drivers as well. I figure they all run on the same engine, and if that's the case, then I don't think it's something to do with the Quake 3 engine, right? I've also had to disable my antivirus before even attempting to start the game, as the antivirus thinks that MOH is some sort of malware.
So I have this same exact issue and I submitted a ticket to Support and apparently if you have integrated graphics, the game will not work. The email they sent back pretty much told me I was screwed and was out of $10.

So if you have integrated graphics, I guess we are pretty much out of luck. Would have been really nice if they gave us a warning of some sort......

EDIT: Apparently down in the fine print where the system requirements are, it does say that integrated systems do not work.

Got it,
http://afridi.pk/windows-7-medal-of-honor-allied-assault-crashes-to-the-desktop/
I've got Mobility Radeon HD4650 and can't start the game. I get only a grayscreen and then it crashes to desktop. It's neither integrated card, nor Radeon X1800, so it should work according to the requirements. Anyone had any luck running this game on ANY Radeon?

UPDATE: I resetted my Catalyst settings to default and the game started afterwards. (Gaming->3d app settings->Defaults).

I followed the instruction in DukeNico's post and it worked. Thanks!
I have Intel HD 4000 Graphics (integrated Intel i5) and it crashed for me.
This fix worked for me:

Download these opengl fixes: sourceforge.net/projects/gldirect/files/

To install, copy bin/release/opengl32.dll from the download to the MOHAA folder (NOT MAIN).

Run MOHAA.

Source and ATI/NVidia fixes: x-null.net/forums/showthread.php?1604-Fix-for-MOHAA-1-11-Windows-7-x64-Crash-to-Desktop-Newer-i7-Processors

I had the same problem. Duke's post fixed it to a degree. Still getting the occasional graphic hiccup

Placing the OpenGL file in the MOHAA folder on the hard drive is what worked for me. Graphics were a little wonky, but I guess it's to be expected with a ~10 year old game that was not designed to run on the latest hardware. I played through the tutorial mission, though, and the game is entirely playable.
