I recently installed the game (Medal of Honor Allied Assault) and when running it on high resolutions I notice lines in the menu around certain sections (mainly like a box around some of the sections you can click on) and when in game there's thick black lines around the sky box.
This happens when I play the game on a high resolution (native is 1920x1080) and I've used the widescreen fix method hoping that would help.
I should note that even without the fix when I set the game to the supported resolution in the menu to the highest and had the same graphical affect.

My spec: Intel UHD graphics, Windows 10 64bit

I've also tried looking up this glitch but can't seem to find anyone else who's experiencing it.

Any help on this would be greatly appreciated.

NOTE: just remembered that this actually occurs in all resolutions not just the high ones, the lines are more grey around the sky box but are still clearly visible. However in the menu they're hardly noticeable on the default low resolution.

Ever since switching over to Windows 10 this has been occurring for me as well. I've been looking for a fix, but this is the only mention I've seen of it online so far.

Just saw the replies (I know, almost a year later), still no solution I could find, and I should also clarify the lines show up even on lower resolutions from what I remember.
Responding so this post can get a little more attention.
Guys I think I found a fix.

I installed reshade 4 and copied the max settings lines into my autexec.cfg file that I had to make - basic instructions on the PCwiki.
However, I did this before and it didn't seem to work so I must have done some extra steps that I didn't do last time.
After doing this, the game had some lag and centre screen tearing which I fixed by forcing vsync in my intel graphic panel (Aswell as adding x2 anti aliasing but not sure if that's needed.
I also increased the r_subdivisions to 3 as suggested in the pcwiki under their max settings but not actually on the lines.

Give this a try and let me know if it helps!

Hello Vintage1701,

i tried out what you said and it worked so far, but the graphics in the main menu seem to be broken and i have the watermark of Re-Shade4 all the time visible during gameplay.

Hi, I was having this problem as well after a recent Windows 10 update (from version 1909 to 2004).
Thanks a lot for your fix! It worked for me. Installing a Reshade/SweetFX is entirely unnecessary. However, following the PCGamingWiki's instructions on creating an autoexec.cfg, copying that block of text in, and changing r_subdivisions to 3 did the trick! Thanks for sharing this solution.

In case anybody else has this same issue in future, go to your game directory/main (or mainta or maintt for the expansions). Then create a new text file and rename it to autoexec.cfg. Then copy the following in and save the file:

seta cg_drawviewmodel "2"
seta cg_effectdetail "1.0"
seta cg_marks_add "1"
seta cg_max_tempmodels "1200"
seta cg_rain "1"
seta cg_reserve_tempmodels "240"

Sorry, been a bit busy to respond, just realized that reshade 4 is not required (its literally just to add custom filters to the game and some other extras but nothing more.)

What fixed it for me was mostly likely setting the settings on high using the custom settings/ini file lines previously mentioned.
This does not work for me, anybody any other ideas :D I know this is a longshot :D

EDIT: it works, just make sure it saves as a cfg file...

MAN YOU ARE A LEGEND! THIS ABSOLUTELY WORKS, I WAS DYING FROM OCD
Does anybody knows that the autoexec.cfg file creation fix the black line issues for the CD-ROM version? I tried to create the file, but the black lines are still there so I don't know if creating this file even works for the CD-ROM versions of Allied Assault and the 2 expansion packs at all.

Hey, try these 2 things. First, make sure that you are putting the folder under the correct folder. For me it's E:\GOG Galaxy\Games\Medal of Honor - Allied Assault War Chest\main. The main folder is actually a folder called main, inside the main MOH directory, lol a bit confusing.

Secondly, make sure you you have file name extensions enabled in your folder view settings, by default you may have named the file autoexec.cfg.txt, you can also right click and hit properties to make sure

In case anyone stumbles upon this thread in the future, know this: the only line that is actually needed in autoexec.cfg to fix the skybox is:

seta r_forceClampToEdge 1
