as i said in the title... i have the master of orion remake... and it keeps freezing during some turns... and when the alien model loads... including the research guy.......

i dont exactly know what version it is but i did install the multirace dlc's from gog....

graphics are set to LOW... this is a fujitsu laptop after all

celeron 1ghz..
4gb of ram...

but i had no problems playing in the beginning

but the last game iplayed as humans it started freezing and crashing around the 400 turns area...

now im playing as sakraa and its freezing and im barely passed the 100turn mark

if theres an update i have no idea where to get it.. the GOG launcher has nothing

i think my version number starts with 55... or im just remembering something else

please help


PS, i fixed the end of turn problem.. i simply ran out of room on my hdd.. so it wasnt saving.. and it just froze

as for the other issuesit sais somewhere to run it in compatability mode but.... which version of windows ???

Good to hear you got the crash figured out. The timeline feature can end up hogging a lot of space and in the case of hdd capacity being limited it is recommended to limit its saving interval or disable it all together.

If experiencing any problems, I think testing setting the compatibility mode to Windows 8 is what is recommended.

Aside from that, I would really recommend installing the Unofficial Code Patch for the game. It fixes a lot of bugs and adds some nice quality of life features, making the general user experience better. I've linked its ModDB page below.
