It would definitely be fun to play the game again, except against human opponents that are unpredictable. Gameranger btw is free and supports Master of Orion II multiplayer obviously.

Haven't played it in a while since I've been playing some other games and dealing with other things in my spare time, but I think it'd be great to get a lot of people from GOG together, hopefully overcoming huge time zone differences, and getting an 8 player game together. I'm not sure if you can use computer players in multiplayer games anyway to fill slots but I always like playing 8 sided games in big maps.

Mainly I'd love to play multiplayer of the game because I recently got Star Wars Rebellion to work on my Windows 7 computer and got multiplayer working on Gameranger, initially I was excited to try multiplayer and play a more interesting and challenging game but the way Rebellion is designed is flawed for multiplayer, heavily favoring the Imperials and there are certain exploits of cheap/dirty tactics that I won't employ in Rebellion because I consider myself an honest gamer that just wants a good game.

Since I believe Master of Orion II to not have the same sort of design problems that Rebellion has that makes multiplayer heavily unbalanced, I'd love to have a chance to try my hands at Master of Orion II multiplayer against those on GOG (I'm not sure where else I could find people to play multiplayer with for it since I never really see any games for it hosted on Gameranger when I check there). I also posted this on the general discussion forum to try finding players but I figured I'd just post this to try and eventually get people together to where we could all get a game together and test our mettle against each other.
