I've always been a fan of this game, but something has always stuck with me - the galaxy map, even Huge, is just too small. Unless you pick a really hard difficulty mode, other empires are just way too easy to conquer, and I end up invading and destroying all the other alien races just for the pure challenge of it. Any patches to make the galaxy map a tad bigger?

Bump. This would be nice.

There have been utilities to tweak the map setup, but supposedly there's a limit of 249 planets, so adding more stars would require there to be fewer planets per star in order to work (and if there's a similar static star maximum, hacking in more might be tough.)
