Hello fellow Orion Sector Conquistadores,

Does someone like to play an Old School eMail Multiplayer Game with me against the hordes of the rather exploitable but still very fun to play AI?

Slow paced, one or two turns a day... No rush, just for fun and for reenacting good old times?

It's decades ago since I played Master of Orion 2 as a hot seat game and while I would invite you to play we me at home, I think the eMail savegame thing would be much more realistic.

So, what do you think, interested?
I might be interested, but I don't know how it is done. Can you explain the process ?
I think it could be done this way:

- We locate the savegame folder.
- We agree upon a galaxy and race settings.
- We start a multiplayer "Hotseat" Game.
- The first player makes his turn, saves the game and send the file via eMail to the next player.
- The next player installs the savegame files, makes his move, saves again and sends the file back.
- rinse and repeat.

Problems would be that we shouldn't play "against" each other as cheating is too easy and manual combat tactics wouldn't work, as you can't save there.

That's why I suggested "friendly" game.

It's slow paced and probably will take some time. But I think I would enjoy it nonetheless.

Still intersted?

I really don't think I am computer literate enough for this. It looks as though it will really take a long time to play the games. Thanks for the invitation, but I think I must decline. TGood lucjk with it.
Suit yourself.

Copying one file and attaching it to an eMail is entirely possible.
Saving that file in the save-game directory should be a surmountable task as well.
The most difficult part is to wait for the others to make their turn.
Indeed it will be a very slow paced game...

If you change your mind though, or you come up with a better idea feel free to contact me.

Why don't you just play multiplayer?
