I'd like to reset the Hall Of Fame to it's default- which is nothing listed. But I can't for the life of me remember the keyboard shortcut to do it and Google is being stubborn. Anyone know?

It's simple. Remove or delete MAGIC.SET from the directory where the savegames are installed (which is probably the same directory where you have the main game installed).

Hmm, I have no doubt that will work and I will try it the next time I play- but I could SWEAR there was a keyboard command to do this.

Based on your OP, I tried looking for one first. If there is a keyboard shortcut, it's not any single key, function (F1-F12) key, CTRL-key, or ALT-key. And if it's more complicated than that (if, for example, it's CTRL-ALT-SHIFT-key) it ought to be documented somewhere.

When that route failed, I went to the GOG directory and sorted the files by date modified. MAGIC.SET was near the top, mixed in with some temp files and the savegames; a quick look at its contents in Notepad told me I was on the right track. Sure enough, when I pulled it from the folder and ran the game, the HoF came up empty; when I put it back (overwriting the new MAGIC.SET the game generated in its absence) the scores reappeared.

I have no doubt at all that you're right- probably just my faulty memory. I know in Master Of Orion II: Battle At Antares you could reset The Hall Of Fame with a keyboard command, perhaps my memory confused the two. . .

Edit
The method works like a charm- many thanks.
