I've been dragging my feet on this project for a while now, and it's time to make some progress. The first version of this mod will be released end of this month with the following features:
Buildings
- Buildings giving unit access are made cheaper to construct and maintain
- Buildings giving the city an economic boost are made more expensive to maintain
- Buildings giving your empire an economic boost are made more expensive to produce and cheaper to maintain
Normal units
- Hearts of all units roughly doubled across the board
- Figures of high end units reduced
- Cost of low end units increased (20 for spearmen, 30 for swordsmen, 40 for bowmen, 50 for halberdiers, 60 for cavalry)
- Many balance changes to make all units viable options
Races
- Revised unit costs of all races, most have been made cheaper
- Changes to growth rates for sake of balance, leading to a slight increase in growth rates overall
- Changes to building access
I'm not planning on any changes to game mechanics yet, that will most likely wait until the next release (aiming for end of August). Specific suggestions for changes will be posted in the relevant threads (on dragonsword.com), please make your comments there.
