Okay, I have a norton anti virus.
I am attempting to download the windows version of this game.
every time I try to download the first install file of this game (the 29.6MB one) it checks it and then deletes it.
It says:
Threat name: WS.reputation.1 from edgecastcdn.net
what does it mean?
should I just ignore it?
does it have a good reason for deleting that file?

The file GOG is offering is clean. I checked it at VirusTotal.com (a site that offers scans with a whole bunch of virus scanning engines) and this is the result:
https://www.virustotal.com/de/file/885b4d1f8c9424eb99eb83d9e718984d0be9d3f4d0bf5ca031859e5fcc1505eb/analysis/1416274415/
Your error is either a false positive, which is likely as the virus message is only a warning, that the file comes from an unreliable source, or you have got some malware on your system messing with downloads.
My guess is, that it's a false positive, meaning Norton reports a threat were there is none. Norton's rule here points to a warning because of bad reputation. There reputation rules are generated by community features of Norton, so they aren't very reliable either. I'd try downloading the game with the GOG downloader, before turning off anti-virus.

well... I installed the game.
I guess it was foolish of me to be alerted by a reputation scan...
thank you for the help.
now how do I mark this topic as "solved"?
