Was a time, I was kind to think that indie Teams was listening feedbacks ....
In the course of the history I visited a lot of strategy place, From Stronghold to Hegemonia, From Port Royal to Roman: age of Caesar .... Total war, Cossack, KOH2 even Kainga seed of Civilisation ....
I also visited some Managerial Place. Anno (The first also had battles), Patron, Imperium Romanum, The Guild even Nebuchadnezzar .…
In my long Journey 1 Day I crossed the Road of Manor Lords, at the same time that Neolithic First City State, Aztec Empire, Builders of Egypt ....
I patiently awaited, checked some streaming and while the 3 other mentioned above seems to stay in the Fog .... Friday 26 April 2024 Manor Lords Was opening its Door.
I’m a not too bad Strategy after 30 Minutes (Thirty) I instantly asked refund (and I got it, because before the 2 Hours, which is hopefully is mandatory by laws).
But please Wait. I then go back watching streams to be sure I was right.
Don't Misunderstand what I'm going to say. If you have been a 1 Man Team part time job on Laborious Years during the past 4 Years, in this specific case, Manor Lord is already kinda good.
But lets recap at this time (5 May):
- You promise everyone Weather Simulation:
Complete Lie. We can literally get drought in the middle of a Rain with a kind of Vortex in the middle. There is always snow at the very same time and everything concerning weather simulation seems Fake/Lie/Inexistent. (At least on Patron there is some fluctuations)
- You promise everyone a kind of Tactical battle:
Even 4 squads on 4 with half in the back of the enemy we Lose.
Worst of all archers seems kind to be partially immunised against sword
- You promise Life full Surrounding with region, opponents ..... :
None of this is, at this stage, just an idea. There isn't even the shadow of a little PRE-BUILT city in the surrounding.
The Raiders seems completely secondary.
The mercenaries half broken (considering none seems to come back when you lost a battle)
- You promise resources, fertility:
So we have 5 Natural "Resources" ????? Stone, Iron, Clay, Berries and Wild Game. That's it ???? Come on. On this one what is your apologise ? Copper, Tin, Marble Even Coal or Silver was too much ? Isn't it supposed to be Managerial ?
The Fertility (which could have been a good idea) seems completely Broken.
Then you put several Field at the same place and that's it, you have everything else missing. 45% or 70% of fertility doesn't seems to have impact. And your Farmer will plant again in October while you clearly indicate next year should be fallow/Jachère.
And The berry bushes .... I don't know what to say .... Sure the only one which is seasonal but Honestly, what is this ? 1 per Region enough berries for at least 100 Citizens (which will make at least 900 Hundreds with the 9 Sub Region) and NOTHING else around .....
- The encyclopedia ????
Same again, that you don't have budget, and you might be a 1 Man team, Lets Admit it. But what is the next apology to justify it's half empty ???? With So short Descriptions ????
- Management:
1 House, as clearly indicated, take 1 Food and 1 Firewood per month that's it ? Even clothing and else doesn't seem to be "consumed". So yes we can add an extension to the house and an Artisan Workshop (Probably the Best Part). But honestly how can it be so few ....
- You promise Diplomacy:
Pure Lie .... (And don't tell me the only Message we receive, at each invasion, to stop claim against Silver is Diplomacy )
I May even have forgotten some Part. But you know what ? I did NOT write this post for all of This. No, no, no, no. I can deal with all of this easily. Check the Title again "Tell me How ?". Here come the main threat of my post.
Please with all due respect towards Genius Indies, all those who Dies every day on Kickstarter or even Steam. Please tell me HOW THE FREAKING FREAK YOU GOT A 170K ACTIVE PLAYERS PEAK ON STEAM with a 30€ Price (10€ I may have deal with it, free Demo surely) ????
