Hello everyone!
I have a question. Is it normal, then when during the game I exit to menu (ESC) and then select Sand Glass icon (continue) game starts from beginning and I loose my progress?

I also tried to save and load game. After loading, I press Sand Glass and also restarts from beginning. It seems that saving works fine. Saved games files are created, also save names are stored. My character name is also stored ok.

I tried installing game in a custom folder (other than program files) and run it as admin to avoid access rights problem. It didn’t solve the issue… :(

How far have you progressed in the game? To be specific, have you reached the second level yet?

I ask because, if I recall correctly, Magic Carpet saves which level you're on, not your progress within a level. Thus when reloading you enter at the start of your most recent level--and if you're still on the first level, the result is much the same as restarting the game.

Of course, if you've reached the second level and are still being thrown back to the first, then the above guess likely isn't the problem!

That was it.
Game saves only the beginning of the level.
I thought it was going to be like in modrn games, and I focused too much on fixing it instead of just playing the game :)
