Speaking of that, is there no way to quit from the main menu? Who on earth designed this thing?

Just started playing it, and while I'm really enjoying the game and the setting, I agree on the bizarre UI decisions. There's nothing I hate more than a game that on first launch puts you straight into the intros and game before you can change the configuration. I mean, they even get you to select language and subtitles on first launch but won't let you correct resolution or set other options - it's madness.
