It seems that you're using an outdated browser. Some things may not work as they should (or don't work at all).
We suggest you upgrade newer and better browser like: Chrome, Firefox, Internet Explorer or Opera

Hi everybody,

just want to share some wisdom :-)

Machinarium is game made in Adobe Flash and all your savegames are stored inside flash application data folder.

So if you are using any kind of cleaner application like Ad-Aware, CCleaner, Spybot Search & Destroy etc. take caution and don't delete your savegames

Specific actions depend on application you are using, but in general don't delete file machinarium.sol located somewhere deep inside your windows profile.

I just discovered that You do not need a specific cleaner application. If You have Firefox, look in the options for a Do Not Track line. If it's checked, it will clean all your personal data when You close Firefox, included Flash temporary folders. Just one more thing to try if You are sure not having other cleaner.
Hi,
I use Firefox, but unchecking Do Not Track doesn't work. I also unchecked the Clear History when firefox closes and switched to Remember history so it won't delete anything, but I still lose my save games. I don't have any other cleaners, so what am I doing wrong?

Hi,
Do You lost the saves when exiting Firefox, or when turning off the PC?
Unchecking Do Not Track works for me, until I reboot the computer. Then the saves are gone. There is something other at work here, but I've not been able to pinpoint it. For now, I backup the save file every time I exit the game.
The file is "Machinarium.sol" and should be in: C:\documents and settings\*USER*\Application Data\Macromedia\Flash Player\#SharedObjects\*RANDOMNUMBER*\localhost\GOG.com\Machinarium\Machinarium.exe\
Replace *USER* whit your user folder name, *RANDOMNUMBER* is a folder like "WS6R5V9P" that is randomly generate by the program. Anything from Application Data is hidden, and the random folder is gone when the save is deleted. To rebuild it, just launch Machinarium and try to open a file, then quit.
Hope this help.

Ha, that worked! Thank you!
The save games are lost when closing FF, but I'll just stop worrying now and stick to your method and back everything up :)
This just happened to me and I found out the hard way. Luckily I haven't gotten very far.

Is there any way to make CCleaner not delete this file? Can you add Machinarium to the applications list?
If you DID lose your savegames just go here
