First time this happens to me: I was about 50 turns into a single-player MAX 1 game (original GOG install, full screen) when the whole Vista system was instant-halted on the infamous blue screen of death (yeah, that one still exists) reporting an error on some IRQ instruction. I restarted the computer, told Vista to boot in normal mode (not safe mode) but it emerged on a 640x480 resolution anyway, which made of mess of the desktop icons. I can't find a detailed report of the crash in the system journals. Did anyone experience something similar? I'm wary of launching MAX again :\
Max1 runs in dosbox, so it's not very likely the culprit. Possibly problems with your video card or driver.
Worked fine for me.
