What do you mean by interface? I googled for BASS and found Apple products.
BASS = Beneath A Steel Sky. The game Revolution made after Lure of the Temptress. I might be using the word interface wrongly. What i mean is the way that you control the character. Old sierra games had just the word parser, Lucasarts' games had the bar at the bottom of the screen, and Lure had the clickety-clicky sub-category-choosing thing. BASS just has a left and a right mouse-click. Very intuitive and works brilliantly.
EDIT: BASS is also free here at GOG. You should check it out! Deaths are few and far between. ;)
Your comment on wanting the time to think made me think of a scene early in Space Quest III where Wilco ends up on a conveyor belt, heading towards a meat-grinder and you have to figure out how to get him out of there alive before you fall in.. You could pause the game, but still.. I know what i mean!:) I love it! :D
Aha, when I was thinking of interface I only imagined the graphics. If you said, maybe, game mechanics I would see what you meant. Thanks for clearing it up.
I tried BASS too for maybe an hour, and I like that game better, and you're right, that it's very intuitive too. But of course, with less options, you have less combinations and therefore the game becomes easier as well.
