If anyone wants to give it a go, I've been messing about with the scummVM code a bit and attempted to add digital recordings of the MT-32 soundtrack for this game back into it. LOTT was never intended to work with general midi which is why the sound is so strange.
Having said that, even with an MT-32 the soundtrack is still strange + I've not quite finished so don't expect too much.

Much appreciated, will give it a go. It's good to see there is still a committed adventure game following in this blam, blam, ritalin fueled shoot em up game World we live in today.
Since I posted originally, I've got my hands on a second generation MT-32. The sound in LOTT makes a whole lot more sense on this and I've redone my patch. I've also fixed a bug I noticed in my code.
As far as I know this should work perfectly now, except for the fact that none of the sound loops + all sounds get cut off when you leave a room. These bugs were both already in scummVM and will hopefully be fixed at some time.
You'll want to use the 14.0SVN release as thats the one with the bug fix in it - without that it may play the wrong sounds occasionally.
Pardon the bump but can you re-host the link for the MT32 audio?
