I found a way.. there is a service called Tunngle, and my username on there is the same as the one on here.

Make an account if you want, and send me a friend request. We could figure it out. :P

Hey guys. LOTR2 multiplayer is very possible with Hamachi. My bro and I was playing it quite often there.

Hamachi makes a virtual LAN between your computer and someone else's. It'll work with games like Empire Earth and others that have their servers down.

LOTR2 doesn't seem to behave well using Hamachi. It appears to terminate rather suddenly in the middle of the game. Anyone else have this problem?

I can't believe this thread is still alive.. lol.

Hamachi I could never figure out, and I can never find games on GameRanger.. sad times. :(

GameRanger, huh? I'll have to fiddle with that some time.

I got Hamachi working, but LOTR2's network code was apparently written by trained marmosets so it keeps crashing repeatedly. /sadface

For those of you who are getting gameranger to work, are any of you on Windows 7 by chance?

A buddy of mine and I are on the same network (but still using gameranger because we can't connect inside the game either) and both using Win 7x64 and we just sit at waiting for host the entire time.

The reason your having problems is gameranger is set up to work only when you aren't on the same network my friend and i had the same issue when trying to get CnC RA2 to work you'd have to be at separate houses to connect to one anothers games.
