I just bought this game, and I wonder if anyone can clear this up for me. In the configuration options, there is exactly 1 (one!) setting to change for the video, and that's brightness. Are there any other settings hidden away, say in config files or something, such as resolution? It seems strange for a post-2000 game to have no video settings at all.

The only thing I could find is a LIONHEART.CFG file in the C:\Program Files\GOG.com\Lionheart directory. While it does have an option to change the resolution in there, it corrupts the graphics pretty badly and becomes ugly and nearly unplayable. My guess is that they did plan to have different resolutions available, but ran out of time at the end. So, it seems your answer is nope; what you see is what you get. :P
EDIT: I also checked online but couldn't find any widescreen or high-resolution hacks either.

Well, it's hardly a solution, but at least it's an answer. Too bad that the answer was "no". All in all, I have to say I regret buying this game.
The ModDB wide screen patch works great for me on Windows 7 64-bit.
The Moddb widescreen mod worked perfectly for me. For those who are confused ....

1. Download The Moddb Widescreen mod
2. Open Lionheart game folder.
3. Here you will see a huge Data.dat file. Unzip it to /data folder. (7-zip program worked fine for me)
4. Delete Data.dat OR change its name (Forexample to dataold.dat)
5. Unzip the Lionheartwidescreenpatch.rar file into game folder.
6. Run "LionheartWidescreenPatch.exe" which is now inside the game folder.
7. For my laptop I choosed 1280x800 resolution and click Apply. It only takes a few seconds.
8. Play the game :)

I did this on vista and my computer from 2007 worked just fine. I hope this helps for future.

EDIT: I removed the "you can continue your old saves" part because it obviously corrupts your play.

Works Fine, even with the French Patch.

I am sorry never heard of an error like that. Maybe others may help. Btw you will select the resolution options after running LionheartWidescreenPatch.exe" and not the game itself. The game still wont have that option.

Solved it!
It was interfering with the Dxwnd used for cursor traces on Win 8/8.1.
Although the resolution can be selected directly in Dxwnd :D

I am getting the same error could you please give more detail on how you solved it? thanks!
Does ANYONE know how to implement this widescreen patch on Win7(64bit) without any errors?

EDIT: Ah, the problem was with the extraction of the ingame data.dat file archive, 7-zip did the trick well. Now the game runs in 720p (higher resolution makes everything too small) and it looks marvelous.

How did you solve the error from the screenshot?
can anyone confirm that this fix still works?
sorry for necro, but can you patch fps limiter? Or this game has none?
