I'm considering buying it... but wanted to make sure I was actually buying a game, and not some cartoon / show. It didn't show how the game is played... e.g. is there a click through, or am I given decisions... is this a "find your fate," etc? Can someone explain? Thanks...

Just curious if it's like a Space Quest / Kings Quest, or what this is exactly...

Thank you!

There are decisions, there are dialogues, there is walking and there is some exploration. There also are extra photo opportunities you might miss if you just stick to the main story. You control an actual character, albeit within a closed environment. You won't find puzzles such as "use item X on Y but talk to character Z beforehand", nope, although there are some simpler ones. While this is not just a pure walking simulator, it's also not an olsdchooly wicked adventure game. It lies somewhere in between and I believe it's found its niche nicely.

Personally, Life is Strange was a breakthrough game for me. I adored 1990s adventure games and generally resented most of the games released after 2004 (with really few exceptions) until I found LiS. It's a game that makes you believe somwhere in Oregon a story like this could have happened, a game that makes you want to repolish your bonds with the people around you. And it's absolutely worthwhile IMO.
It does have puzzles for you to solve but it is primarily story driven, the harder puzzles are more focused on optional photos to take but after you clear a chapter you can go back at any time to solve them without affecting your save game.

The story can draw you into the game world so it is worth it in my opinion, a friend convinced to to get it on PS3 and I was quite surprised on how invested I got in it.

Thanks guys! I really appreciate this! It sounds exactly like what I'd be interested in. I'd recommend to any of the developers or GoG staff, to possibly put some pictures of what the interface looks like.

Thank you again... going to buy it right now.

It's a game, or maybe a interactive movie
