There used to be free Avatar pictures and Wallpaper to go along with the manual for the free goodies included with Lego Batman. I don't know when GOG removed them, but I still have my backup copies downloaded from June 9th, 2016. I would love to hear an answer from GOG as to why they removed these free goodies, and why they didn't warn anybody about it. I'm sure most of you around here have noticed how rarely games come with free goodies nowadays, when in the better older days of GOG almost every game came with them, some with lots of stuff. But removing them from customers who had already paid for the game goes beyond the pale.

What other games has GOG done this with?

If by chance you didn't get to download them when they were available and you want them, I uploaded them to my Google Drive.

Sorry for necroing this but thanks to your post i actually noticed that GOG indeed removed those. I remember downloading and using some of them for my old PC as backgrounds. This is unacceptable. Removing goodies from people that bought the games which included them. GOG needs to respond to this as soon as possible but i am not sure how visible this is here in the dark alleys of the GOG forums ;). Cheers
Yeah, I was surprised that no one seemed to notice this or care, but I guess you're right that I didn't put it in the main forum section. I've really given up on this place over the last few years, it's almost unrecognizable to the company that I originally supported with massive amounts of money (I've purchased over 1000 games from here back when I still believed in them.

Honestly, I've mostly gone over to Steam willingly because I felt lied to too many times by GOG. Steam isn't ethical at all, but at least they have never pretended to be. I'll only buy on GOG when a game is only available here, or at least offers achievements since that's a sign that the devs will support the platform. Got burned too many times with new games that devs never update on GOG either.

In my opinion, GOG has nobody to blame but themselves for their financial troubles. A great many of us who were diehard GOG fans from the early days have gone because we didn't like the direction GOG was heading, and we've pretty much been proven right without wanting to be. A huge shame.

Feel free to make a post about it on the main page if you want to try to draw more people's attention, and include my links if you wish, I don't have any caring left to try to save this place. Its just a business like every other one, they'll do shitty things whenever they feel like it.
