I downloaded the game and it seemed to run fine but when i quit them went back later to play this message came up, SDL.dll was not found, try installing again, so i do but the same thing keeps happening

While there might be someone in the community to help you, it's probably best to contact GOG's support about it. This might also lead to patches for future players.

Sounds like your AV is interfering. The GOG install uses ScummVM which uses SDL.dll. If it's missing then something else moved it as it's in the installer.
