In other words do i just drop the heavy item like the armors and duplicate weapons?

Though the game is retro it seems to have forgotten some the QOL changes that many of those games had to make them less annoying.
What do you mean by QOL? And what changes are you referring to? Just curious
Slicer: There are no vendors anywhere in the game. If you don't need something you can drop it, although it's a good practice to cache things you don't currently want by the stairs (or some other easily accessed location) in case they turn out to be useful later.

Zack: QOL = Quality of Life.
LOL! A vendor in the Grimrock Dungeons? Come on now, seriously? What other QOL changes should the landlord of Grimrock install for its tenants? Free wifi, a coffee shop, a fitness facility?

A clinic.

Definitely a coffee shop! And a bar. :-)

Byeohazard: A bordello!!
Yea, since that bordello in the original Fable, I've found I just can't enjoy bordello-less RPGs anymore...
Good to see that I do not need to hold on to everything. Was not sure about a trader too.

To the naysayers: Never played Ultima Underworld?

Legend of Grimrock is based on Eye of the Beholder/Dungeon Master tile-based dungeon crawlers, which rarely allowed for any kind of sale or trade (beyond certain quest/secret objectives). The Ultima Underworlds (which I most certainly have played - more than is healthy!) are a more sophisticated type of dungeon crawler; while it would be reasonable to expect to find vendors (and large numbers of interactive NPCs) in an UW-inspired game, they'd actually be out of place in EoB-inspired ones.

It was more aimed to those who make fun of the OP since game-background story wise (You're prisoner who gets freedom by being thrown into a dungeon) they bouth are quite similar. But thanks for explaining :)
I was kind of hoping to find a non-violent mob that was actually a vendor in a secret area of the dungeon. Like a nod to the best vendor in Morrowind.

Well... you're a prisoner who gets thrown into the dungeon to earn your freedom in Ultima Underworld 1, too. ;)

I'm pretty sure that would be the point:

OP: Is there a vendor in Grimrock?
Reply1: Don't be a moron, you're a prisoner thrown in a dungeon.
Reply2: Ultima Underworld had vendors, and you're a prisoner thrown in a dungeon in Ultima Underworld.
Reply3: Pwnt!

At least, that's my summary of the conversation. If it's wrong, too bad, I like mine better.
Don't just throw everything away carelessly, though. You'll need couple spare items to solve puzzles as well. ;)
