I started playing through Soul Reaver 2 recently but have been finding it hard to make any progress due to the transition between worlds taking an extremely long time, sometimes even after waiting for 20-30 minutes it still hasn't changed.
For example if I'm in the living world and want to transition into the spirit world to solve a puzzle, I click the glyph and everything freezes in place except for my character who can only jump. The world is changing around me but is doing so extremely slowly to the point where it almost looks like nothing is happening.
At first I put up with it because the smaller areas only took a few minutes to change, but the larger areas still haven't switched even after 15 minuts of waiting. This can be quite frustrating if you need to switch multiple times in the same area to solve a puzzle.
I have tried playing around with the settings, the game compatibility mode, and tried a some info I found which said to use dxwnd with some specific settings, but nothing I have found so far has solved the problem.
Has anyone else encountered this issue and managed to find a way to fix it?
