OK, so I just bought the Legacy series, went to download, and now I cant even download ANY of them?

Disclaimer: I'm not quoting anyone, since GOG's Forum software has been broken since I can remember it, and I don't want to make people go through having a permanent Community notification even though they have checked it.

As for what Dave3d said, I understand the frustration, but I just tried downloading all of the LoK games I own on GOG and I was able to do so with every single one of them -- including Soul Reaver, which can no longer be bought, but it's still in my library, 100% downloadable. Maybe GOG's servers were going through maintenance or experiencing some kind of issue when you tried it, I'd give it another go, everything seems to be working, now.

Regarding the whole SR1 being delisted situation, it's just like what the game page (both on GOG and Steam) says: they're supposedly working on some improvements, whatever that entails. A while back I heard rumours Nixxes was working on those improvements, but I'm more inclined to trust wrace on this one: Squeenix will probably just use his patch as a wrapper and leave it at that.

Now, while I do understand wrace's frustration with the whole situation -- also, thank you for your hard work and dedication, wrace, your patch is a godsend and I always use it when I replay SR1 --, I'm one of those who also thanks GOG for having released Blood Omen, after all these years. Sure, you could use a patch for much needed fixes, QoL improvements and access to cut content, but the truth of the matter still is that the game was basically "lost" for decades, on PC, with no means to legally purchase a working copy, and GOG brought it back for the digital age -- now we can legally purchase a copy of it without having to do so on a Sony PlayStation console (the only other way through which you could get the game in all these years).

So, as sad as the whole situation may be, I guess our best option is to just wait it out. I do believe they'll eventually make Soul Reaver available again, I just have no clue at all of who's working on the promised improvements, or if they'll just use wrace's patch (again) and call it a day.

They pulled em and updated them. I have one instealler that is labelled 20.xx.xx, and the new one is 21.xx.xx
So, I guess they were updating the download server there for a while, but I have downloaded all 3 of them now.

Erm... Sry, but you wrong again.
As i undesrand you not been here for so long. here the info for you. There is no 2xxx installers for this series. GOG current isntallers is v3 and they numbered it differ. Not all old released games got this update, but many without actual game files updated. This games got some updates\changes.

If account page links npt worked for you - and nothing help - it is some trouble with your browser. use GOG Galaxy to downlaod backup files or online Galaxy-builds. Use normal browser to dowanlod it from account page from website (with maybe some dowanloding plugins, but i cant provide name for any actual good ones, i use just browser).

I test it few times when you ask and everything worked for me. Except most bouses links. English versions installers are been downlodable all this time This is the list of files i re-downaloded when you ask. Bin and exe. Also exe fies i check again later. I didnt donwload most of the bonuses, everything else be fine.

I have the installer exe's (I was fortunate enough to download 1 file that night), and the exe is a different version. Simple as that. Its not a hotfix, its not a bin file, its a DIFFERENT VERSION INSTALLER.

Well, at least you can Hide comments from people who dont know anything (like, look dude, look at my "Registered" date, and maybe read what I said about being here when it was still in Beta, like the very 1st week of Beta.

Permanent links are same. Yes, exact links to files are not permanent. Im not sure if this is possible to download older file by serverside error... I know there is still installers for old packages (like Heroes Copmplete 8-in-1), and it is not a server error that you can download them... Maybe there is an issue with them (links), maybe...

But it easier to solve than it looks like. If links that i suggest to you (/account/refresh) did not solve issue for you - this is issue on your system\browser\downloader side. Use GOG Galaxy to download, differ browser or differ download plugin\program. There is NO updates fot this games in years (except BO1 obviously).

Now that Embracer group has purchased all the western IPs Square Enix owned, which includes Legacy of Kain, who knows if and when this is ever going to come back.

TBF, Embracer publishes quite a lot on GOG, so it'll probably be back eventually

Is anyone else waiting to purchase any games in this series until this one is made available again? I'd hate to have an incomplete collection, especially in a series like this where the story is so important.

It seems it's been a long time with no new information but I'm still hopeful. I'm sure GOG will make it available once SE or the new Blood Omen IP owner figure out what the hell they're doing.

I´m missing Soul Reaver to complete my collection.

I have this game, but it still runs poorly, noticed it was "coming soon" again are they planning on fixing it to run better? I had to jump through hoops and make countless changes to make it work on my win11 machine. But in the end, it did work, kind of, would be nice to have one without using multiple 3rd party solutions, and fully completable!

In general, clear GOG version already have enough fixes (fan-mades too). You need only limit FPS by 3rd party solutions or video driver.
Maybe xinput wrapper, or dinput wrapper (depend on what gamepad you have).

I was looking for a way to buy this and I found it. PCGamingWiki lists that it's for sale on Gamesplanet as a pack "Legacy of Kain Collection" which also includes Blood Omen 2: Legacy of Kain, Legacy of Kain: Defiance, Legacy of Kain: Soul Reaver, Legacy of Kain: Soul Reaver 2 & Nosgoth (which people play to this very day, organized on Discord). Yes it has been removed due to a possible remake or remaster, the rights have been brought by a company in 2022, but you can get the previous GOG release via zip file sites and torrents, buy all the others on GOG, now on sale for pennies. have fond memories of the world of Nosgoth and Soul Reaver on the PS2 and PS2. each of the game depict the degradation of Nosgoth following Kain's choice. he is a vampire and the mortal world would not interest him

I'm glad to hear this version has gone down. Some of the issues render the thing very difficult to play. The camera is simply awful. The input is very shakey and not good at all for platforming tasks. I've resolved to just dig out the old playstation copies instead.
