Hello,
I'm in Scottia's castle at the end of the game. I've followed a walkthrough and know that I need to lockpick a door on floor 2 to get one of the four statues. Problem is that my characters are too low-skilled for that. My best rogue is lvl 3 when using a jade necklace (and I got rid of the axe that can add 1 point to the skill, though I'm not sure lvl 4 would be enough anyway). I don't think there is a key to open that door so I'm quite stuck...
Is it possible to lockpick a door with a low level (like 1% chance or something) or completely impossible?
Can I gain rogue levels by simply throwing random objects to a wall (of course, I also got rid of bows, crossbows & ninja stars...)?

Finally, I managed to go back to the dungeons where I found the Master Axe I had luckily abandoned there, came back in the castle and could lockpick the door with the +1 given by the axe.

(Not sure how I mark this thread as "solved"?)

My answer to this is OUCH.
Yo need at least a level 4 for some of the doors, and even 5 in some chests. My best suggestion is, in case yo do not have any crossbows, arbalest or bows, and no older savegame, to sigh, and start throwing weapons to the eyedisk monsters, as between them and the spiders, they are easier to kill.

Well, I managed to solve this three years ago. ;)

It's pretty bad designed, though, to have parts of the game that require having a character with a skill high enough and no alternate way of going forward.
I'm at this point now and while I do have ONE crossbow, but I refuse to grind for hours.

I might even have that "master" ax on one the buttons on the mapless puzzle in floor one in an older save, but.... I kinda don't care anymore?

All I won't to know is... will something like this happen in the next LoL game?
