Hi folks,

I bought this digital download of LOL1+2 so I could play LOL2 without swapping CDs. Has anyone ever got this version of LOL2 to work under wine on Linux? I can play the 1.31 version that came out on 4 CDs just fine under wine 1.4.X, it just got tiresome swapping Cds hence my purchse of the Gog version.

The GOG version of LOL 2 is the Dos version, while I don't have a LInux box around at the moment it's running on dosbox, so it should be easy to run it there. Dosbox works great on Linux.

Copy LOLG95.EXE, MSS32.DLL, and LOLSETUP.EXE into your GOG copy's install folder.
Next, copy the contents of the DAT folder in the GOG install folder to the same folder.
Then, run LOLSETUP.EXE and select your resolution.
Finally, run the command "LOLG95.EXE -CD ."
And enjoy.

EDIT: For Direct3D acceleration install DXGL. Turn off Swith Movie Display and Switch Automap Display, and save often though, there are still some resource leaks I haven't taken care of and it will eventually crash the game after extended play.
