In case you were wondering this because you bought the game here...

"Hello Lamulanites! We still don't have a concrete release date yet but believe me we want to release it as soon as we can and are working hard to make that happen. I do have one piece of unfortunate news to share now that the all of the legal stuff has been settled and taken care of. Although users from PLAYISM and Desura(and GROUPEES of course) will be able to receive Steam keys, GOG does not actually offer Steam keys through their site so users who have bought from GOG will not be able to activate their purchase on Steam. We are really sorry about this but there is not much we can do on our end."

Is the Steam version going to differ at all, or will it be the same game? If it's the same game, then that doesn't seem like an issue.
According to their blog (unless I misunderstood the blog entry), in exchange for not being able to give keys for those who purchased the game on GOG, we will get the 3 OST disks as extras.

That's what it reads to me :D

On the Steam keys issue, we can't really offer keys to that service due to the fact that they are our competitor :D

Way better imo.
Quite frankly the sole reason I buy anything on Steam is that it isn't available on GOG.
Do appreciate the OSTs though, even if it wasn't necessary IMO. :)

An admirable stance, I see it as a little spineless when other DD sites offer Steam keys (or sometimes even sell Steam keys without a download).

I don't see why I would WANT steam keys when I actively chose to buy a game on somewhere other than steam. IT's the same game, why would I need it on steam with built in DRM?

It seems you didn't read the first line: " In case you were wondering this because you bought the game here... "

Some people asked this many times over there (Steam Greenlight), and PLAYISM answered it only once.

Not because I or you don't care about it, it means it isn't important. I just posted PLAYISM's statement about who will receive (now received, I posted this many months ago) about the Steam key here at GOG; not that I wanted a Steam key because I bought it here.

For greenlit games, some people only prefer to have a DRM-Free game (on GOG, Desura, etc...), others prefer to have it on Steam too if it is greenlit. There's nothing wrong about that. Live and let live.
Haha, now I'm kinda glad I bought it on Playism first! At least we get the soundtrack on GOG.
meh, I really am not bothered by this. If I wanted the game I Steam I would just of bought it on Steam.
That seems fair as long as we get achievements as well, right?
This is another reason i love GOG, everyone else from Desura, Gamestop, Playism, Green Man Gaming, Get Games, etc etc etc see Steam as the REAL platform and they are starting to become places to buy Steam Keys.

Nope, GOG just sells GOG
Who cares anyway

i've haven't used Steam in a couple of years.
That's just not true though, Steam's focus isn't old or DRM free games,
Saying they're your competition is just false
