As in the title: the screenshots reminded me of Stardew Valley - which I liked, although I modded some things I didn't quite get along with.

Is the gameplay of Kynseed going to be similiar, and will modding be possible?
it is similar but different, no idea if modding will be possible at this point. I can ask though.
If you'd ask, that would be great, thanks. :)

We've always been fans of modding support, but there's no set-in-stone plans on it just yet. Right now we're focused on taking it one step at a time - modding support possibilities are probably quite a few steps ahead at the moment. Still, it would be great if the stars aligned for it.

Stardew valley doesn't exactly SUPPORT modding. I had to look through the code of some mods and things would be much easier if it did. It's just some clever people noticed it's written in c# which can be easily decompiled, analyzed and its API called, hooked and patched on the fly.

BTW I think both games are written in same c# framework, there might be KMAPI in some unspecified time in the future even if game itself doesn't support mods.

I agree, core gameplay is far more important... but aid for moders(in future) is always appreciated and extend game lifespan (look at skyrim, mediocre game that is good thanks to moders) :)

(almost) all games, you are able to mod. Question is more, are the devs going to support modding.
They're even modding open beta Gwent now.
Shoot, people are even modding Fable 3.
