I hear people saying it's unplayable past a certain "broken" mission and others saying the game is fine and can be completed.

Any thoughts on this?

I'm interested in the game but not if it still has game-breaking issues.

I've played through it twice now with no problems either time. One frustrating puzzle was the only 'issue' that I ran into but when I solved it all was fine. Hope this helps.
