Has anyone tried this patch and does it work with the GOG.com version?

A comment on that web page suggests it works for multiplayer only which the GOG version doesn't support.I have no idea how reliable that information is, just thought I mention it :)

It does not work. On win 7 you will have graphical errors and only multip available. Do not download. 640x480 or 1024x768 ..does not matter that patch, it is still so low res, just play gog version which is without errors on win 7.

I have found a better patch that actually works in SP and MP. It allows for preset resolutions up to 1920x1080. It's pretty sick.

Note when you first start a game it might look messed up, but it'll correct itself quickly!

Why don't you just try it yourself? I have scanned it for viruses, mind you. It's too bad multiplayer doesn't work in the extreme edition, so I am playing the DOS version for that part. :)

So you can see that it is indeed legit! But the attachments from that blog is missing, but as I said I found it elsewhere, still. Still scared? lol

BTW: You should probably backup the original exe just in case before applying a new resolution to the original exe.

I'd say I'm pretty nice for taking the time to post about this hack for other KKND fans to enjoy, too. :) Besides, I was just trolling him a little. lol.

The reason I asked is that I haven't bought the game yet (but I'm considering it, especially if their is a way to play it with high res), so I can't just try if it works ;) I have read your comment of course and yes, I say thank you for providing as the link...but I wasn't sure if you tried it on the GOG version of the game or some other. So I was just hoping that some other people here can confirm that it works with the GOG one. Maybe a bit uber-cautious...but eh...nobody is perfect, right? ;-)

I only tried it with my original version as of yet, however, as it is a hack on the exe, I find it hard to believe it wouldn't work, but I cannot say myself for sure, though.

But why not just try it on the demo version? I mean, just to try it out. It still isn't a gog demo, of course. Haven't tried this myself, though. Just a thought

I'll upload it again when I happen to be on the PC where I have copy of the hack.

However, I can confirm that the hack doesn't work on the gog version - but ! - I've made a post on wsgf with the offsets for the gog version, which can be used with together with the detailed report made by the original author of the hack for the original game version.
