I just downloaded KKnD 2, and decided to try out a skirmish game against the AI. Immediately, I noticed the game lags and stutters pretty bad. This also occurs in the campaign, and the lag occurs every time I try to play a game. Scrolling around the map, actual gameplay, and even the mouse cursor lags. When battles come up, the game really starts to lag pretty bad. The game is just unplayable for me. Does anyone know how to fix this?

Have you ran the config tool that comes with the game? It's located in your Start menu for the game. Also, how are you booting up the game?
I did run the config tool but it doesn't seem too useful, it's just for resolution and map screen size. I left the settings at default. I first booted up the game using the shortcut provided after the install. The I tried with the other exe file in the install folder, so I still get really bad lag no matter how I boot up the game.

Please write to us and send in your DxDiag file so we can get to the bottom of this problem. Thanks :D.
I just came cross the exact same problem on a dual-graphics laptop (Intel HD Graphics 4000 and NVIDIA NVS 5200m, then I switched on the "Optimus" mode (in BIOS/UEFI settings, find "Optimus"), which uses the Intel graphics instead of the NV thing and the problem is gone. So this may be caused by the NV graphics or its drivers or something.
I have got the exact same problem. I have tried all the compatibility modes and colours and changed screen mode in the config file but nothing works. I use windows 10, can that be a problem?
Same here, using Win 10 and not able to play the game due to very choppy gameplay. Setting the game's resolution on 640x480 helps a bit but not entirely gets rid of the problem. Also, the scale is off so I can only see a part of the game's sidebar on my screen, the minimap isn't visible at all.

KKND Extreme low fps, stutter, lag. All this caused by shadowplay.
So I had these immerse lag spikes as soon as i started the game and when closed windows says: "Display driver stopped working and was restored" Or something like that.
So I started solving this problem:
-Downloaded old DirectX version and installed it -> no help at all.
-Turned Shadowplay from ON to OFF -> no lag at all, PROBLEM SOLVED! :)

At least it worked for me, so i wish it helps someone else aswell.
