The original King's Quest VI CD was a mixed mode one. So I don't know if GOG put in some way the end credits "Girl in the tower" song. Roberta Williams said that it "rivals a Disney epic song". For me, it is a bit corny, lol, but I like it.
Anyway, you can download it from here ----> www.hernanramirez.cl/girl_in_the_tower.zip

Peace-

It's corny, but it's definitely a Nineties song. It definitely has it's charms.
The GOG version is silent during the credits :/

Or then again, maybe it isn't if you play through DosBox, but I chose Scumm VM. Can anyone please comment on this?
Yeap, it's silent only when you play it through Scumm VM. It's a known issue

Then gog did no wrong, at least there's that ;)

I've been looking for a solution to this problem but couldn't find it. Since you mentioned it's a known issue, could you please direct me to some discussions about it? Perhaps there's something on the ScummVM forum that I missed...?
Yeap, you can actually go here...

This is the discussion about it and the link to an installer that allows you to play the game through ScummVM with the song included at the end.

Thanks a lot! I was aware of the installers but the Scumm VM one wasn't available yet when I looked.

I don't know, it always reminds me of "Marion, My Love" from Robin Hood: Men In Tights.
^ I love that movie. :-)

Yeah, the song is a bit corny (I still own the original mixed-mode CD-rom from back in the day) but I'll occasionally put it on just for the heck of it. It's really not too bad.
Here is an official download from Mark Siebert.

I remember reading that they sent the song out to a bunch of radio stations at the time, trying to be like the next "Beauty and the Beast" or whatever, but nobody played it.
Greetings all finally found the answer to the reason why the Girl in The Tower song is not played at the end of the game for KQ6. It seems when GOG did their version of the game they did not include it in the game files. I searched high and low all over the internet and thx to m_kiewitz from the forum for Scummvm.org. Finally found the solution all you need to do is include the soundtrack in the main KQ6 directory titled as Track1.mp3. I tested it out and it plays just fine, no need for for installers or all the other confusing answers i found online which none of them worked. If you need help with this please reach out to me i will be glade to help you out. As this was amazing game & song.

Yes, I could use some help with this, please.
Since GOG hasn't got around to actually adding the song to the game files (in a form that scummvm likes) I've gone ahead and just uploaded it ripped from my own CD: http://www.mediafire.com/file/lcuv1668bsbv8vj/track1.flac/file
Put that in the game folder and you SHOULD be sorted (although I don't have a save from near the end of the game so can't test myself)

Thanks for this micpp, I can confirm that this does indeed work as I've just tested it.
