Hi everyone,

Just wanted to let you know that we have uploaded a Universal update that will update your game to version 1.3.1. One of the most important features of this Universal update is that support for the 16:9 format has been added.

WARNING: please ensure that you are starting a NEW game as the patch will not work with a game that's already in progress.

Of course, a patch isn't complete without its complete changelog, which is presented below:

Fixes and updates:
· Orcs on the March
· Crash fixed at Assassin's Know Weakness skill.
· Error fixed at orc shaman's Adrenaline Maximum.
· Error fixed at spells Poisonous Spit, Black Hole and Soul Draining at the boss arenas.
· Error fixed at Skeletons' skill Bone Gate at the Arena of Chaos.
· Description of skills fixed at Rune Mage, Faun and Bone Dragon.
· Feature Recruiter fixed.
· A dialogue of Rock Porter fixed, if you don't take quests for spy searching.

· Defender of the Crown
· Failure fixed after the defeat in the battle for medals (after the talk with smuggler Hogben).
· Ancient Ent's skill Summon Swarm doesn't recharge the skill Running now.

Balance updates:
· Orcs on the March
· Abilities of the Infernal Dragon were strengthened.
· The following creatures were strengthened: White Kraken, Fauns, Rune Mages, Goblins, Orc-leaders and Tirexes.
· Orc-shamans were weakened.
· The feature Favorite Enemy of humans gets updated in every new battle.
· The AI of Alchemist and Engineers was updated.

· Defender of the Crown
· The enemy hero Mahruk was strengthened.

Additions and upgrades:
· Orcs on the March
· Detailed information on the trophies in the Military Academy added; (c) ilih.
· A specified log during the receipt of Adrenaline by orcs added.
· General
· Support of 16:9 format added.
· New opportunities for game modders added.

Thank you and have fun :D.

Hi!
I dont quite get it, my game is already 1.3.1 (build 6171) .
Is there anything i might miss?
I applied the patch and for me too the version number does not change (1.3.1 / Build 6171). Is this really a new update??
I am getting an error trying to run this update, also Norton was saying that it was suspicious and asked me if I wanted to run for sure. It was recommended not to.

This is mostly to fix a reported issue with the 16:9 widescreen format. The patch notes are for those who like knowing what a particular patch contained. Sorry for any confusion that my post may have caused.

We don't give out virus-laden software so the file is safe. I would recommend turning off Norton for the time being when installing the update. Sometimes AV software gets a bit too suspicious for it's own good.

Here's the Virus Total scan of the file:

Can we expect a similar update to KB: The Legend? 16:9 support would be so nice there.

If there's ever an official patch put out that adds support or fixes problems with the 16:9 format, then we can add it.

If the game is supposed to support 16:9 and there are problems with it (sorry, but I don't know each game like the back of my hand so please forgive any lack of knowledge on a specific subject :D) please write to us. Thanks.

Well Legend supports 16:9 resolutions, there is no problem with that but the image is displayed in a 16:10 format so black borders appear at the sides of the screen when the game runs in a 16:9 resolution.

As for Crossworlds: after applying the patch 16:9 works properly, however there is a bug I've noticed: the game over screen does not display correctly, the upper and bottom parts of the screen gets cut off.

JudasIscariot: * New opportunities for game modders added.
Did they say what those options are exactly?
There's something wrong with the update. I installed the universal update, started a new game and it's like the patch didn't even apply. The favorite enemy is not updateing, orc shaman crash is still present, rune mages still have swapped skills descriptions...
Ok, after some experimentation I need to clarify some things:
1. The installer is not updated to the newest version, you need to apply the universal update.
2. To successfully apply the update you CANNOT have ANY mods installed. If you have any mod files, the updater's installer will say the installation was successful but in fact the game won't be patched.

I don't know if someone's still playing this game, but did anyone figure out how to get the camera mod or other mods work with the latest gog version?

The default camera doesn't really let you enjoy the game properly, so the camera mod is critical IMO. So what's the point of having a game update if that renders the mods useless?

If mods are incompatible, is there any way to get the previous version of the game (given that I paid for it and everything)?

It works fine here - where did you put the camera mod? It needs to be placed in \sessions\orcs\mods. (You'll need to create the mods folder, if there isn't one already.)

Thanks... that gives me some hope, though I did put it there. All I can add that the file I have is mod_cw13_orcs_eng_camera.kfs, dated 10/13/2010, of 721 bytes. Is yours the same?

If yours is the same, I'm temporary lost. I know I did install GOG Galaxy app first. I hope that doesn't prevent me to run the game from the PC directly, or something like that.

Yes, mine is exactly the same as yours. I do remember reading somewhere that you need to change locations before the camera mod will work so for example if you start a new game it won't work straight away but when you go into the tutorial dungeon or any other location (and from then onwards) it works fine.

I'm sorry I don't know if Galaxy interferes in some way as I don't use it.

Good luck, I hope you get it working :)
