Good day to all of you!

I have been playing Kings Bounty: The Legend on my Window XP machine for a while now and just recently saw that it was available at Good Old Games for the Mac. The game specifications indicate that it can be played using OS X 10.6.8 or newer so I did not give it another thought and purchased and installed the game. Unfortunately I cannot figure out how to get the game to run on my OS X 10.9 Mavericks system. When I try to launch the game the icon bounces in the dock for a while and then disappears.

The dialogue comes up for "Problem Report for King's Bounty - The Legend" asking if I want to Reopen the game or not. Looking at the crash details I see the information below (see end of post).

Does anyone have any ideas what might be causing this crash? Has anyone managed to get the game to function using Mac OS X 10.9?

Thanks in advance for any and all assistance that you can provide.

dr.schliemann: Take a look at this thread and, particularly, at this post.
Thanks dr.schliemann;

Unfortunately editting the resolution in the game.ini file on my Mac is not enough to cause the game to open. I tried setting it to my current resolution (1280 x 800), I tried setting it to 1024 x 768, and I tried telling it to open in Windowed mode. None of those changes fixed the issue I am running into.

Thank you for the references, I will see if there are any other solutions posted over at that sight.

P.S. For Mac users wondering where the game.ini file is stored I found it by
* right clicking (Ctrl+Clicking) on the "King's Bounty - The Legend" game icon;
* then choosing Show Package Contents;
* in the finder window that came up I expanded Contents;
* Then I expanded Resources;
* The game.ini file was in that folder.

I am sorry I can't help you further because I don't own a Mac myself.
