Wanna play this game for the first time, first chapter the legend. I can install and play? No need for mods etc?

You can just install and play without mods just fine, I have done so many times. However, a few people have reported problems in a particular area of the game (Upper Hadar), this bug does not happen to everyone but if it happens to you I suggest you download the following file;

It's great without mods.

There's a bug in Upper Hadar where some environment features can't be interacted with. The solution mentioned here worked for me:

I would recommend the widescreen patch. It's not perfect, but better than raw, if you want to play it widescreen.
