The hud seems to be to big. It appears as i would use a 1280x720 resolution, but i am playing in 1920x1080.
Changing the hud to "small" just changes the size of the always active hud. Things like the item wheel won't change, neither the inventory.

Also if i change the hud size the game sometimes crashes.
