I've noticed that simply running this game by itself is enough to set off my UPS alarm to tell me I'm out of juice.
Quite literally, my setup is fine, I run Kingdoms and Castles, and about 3 seconds later, my UPS makes noise. If I close the game, everything goes back to normal.
(I've noticed the game runs at something like 250 FPS, which seems a bit excessive.)
Perhaps the game could cap its render rate to something more reasonable like... 60?
(I could provide anecdotes about all the other high-demand gaming I do which never causes the issue, but people take such stories as bragging or choose to nitpick, so I'll abstain.)
edit:
To compare, I loaded up OpenHardware and this game pushes the card usage to 99%. By comparison, maxing out Prey has usage at 40ish.
