It seems that you're using an outdated browser. Some things may not work as they should (or don't work at all).
We suggest you upgrade newer and better browser like: Chrome, Firefox, Internet Explorer or Opera

viller: Hello, just bought this but were not able to play it. It just resizes my screen resolution and closes down. What to do?
Make sure you kill Chrome in the Task Manager process tab. Chrome is one of the primary culprits that prevents that game from running.
Sorry I don't use chrome that is not what is blocking me

Finally got it to work, it seems that Nokia Suite was the culprit.

Beelzebubb: Had the same problem. Got it to run finally.

For my system, the problem was 'KhalScroll.exe' process which is a logitech browser plug in for better mouse control (ScrollApp). Killed the process in Task Manager, and the game now loads and plays fine.

stjbird: I tried everything and this was also my problem... its working now thanx to you!!
Same here. First GOG game out of several hundred that didn't work straight away. I never would have guessed it was a mouse app causing the problem. Thanks.
well. I still can't get it to work. I turned in a report and tried the things they suggested: turn of Windows UAC or what ever it is called that makes it ask you if you want to continue and then I tried relocating it to my C drive directory, and I run it as an administrator. No go! I'm using a Naga mouse and I haven't seen any tasks to stop.

Same for me, I tried to close all (seemingly) useless processes but nothing.
ok, removed those allready mentioned without any effect. Started removing unused processes and removing FL Studio Engine Launcher process or Nvidia updater process did the trick.
I too have this issue, sent a support ticket. Hope there's a solution soon

I'm having this issue as well, can't run it at all. This is the first GOG game I have ever bought that this has happened with, so I'm patient... but still, I want to play it badly, it has had such a fanfare. It's terribly frustrating.
What could I tell you here try runing on Abmen
I'll have to confirm it later, but if anyone else is having issues and they have Veoh Web Player's process running in the background, try turning that off. Seems to have worked for me.
Same problem. Game seems to start, black screen, then return to desktop, but desktop is now in 640x480 resolution. There is actually still a KoDPexe32 process running when I look into the Windows task manager.

Ok, the game runs now - but I cannot read what any of my advisors are saying ... I only see a white blob ... any ideas?

Seems like a common problem i have with a few games, my fix usually is:

1. Right click the shortcut to KingOfDragonPass
2. Go to Compability:
3. Ensure the following settings and options are selected:
Run THis program in Compatbility mode for:
Windows 98 / Windows ME

Run in 64x480
Disable Visual Themes
Disable Desktop Composition
Disable Display Scaling On High DPI settings.

Run this program as an administrator.

Gog sometimes forgets to set some of these options correctly.
Works fine for me, including white spots ( Caused by visual themes in most windows 95-98 ish games)

This is troubling. I can't run it on my laptop, but my desktop runs it just fine. My desktop runs it even with Chrome running.
For me, enabling the 640x480 option in the compatibility tab jarred the screen slightly to the left, rendering the game mostly unplayable.

Removing it, it worked fine, although the screen became smaller because it didn't resize it in any way.

But otherwise it works fine.
