"We double checked with the programmer just to be extra sure and yes, it does seem like DLC bought on the MangaGamer store should be compatible with the base version on GOG, so that should work! Please note you will need to redownload the updated base game after the Full Chorus release in order for it to be compatible with the Full Chorus DLC; the original game as previously released will not support it as we had to port the entire game to a new engine for this update. If for any reason you have difficulties updating to the Full Chorus edition post-release, just let us know and we'll be happy to help."

Is there any chance this patch/upgrade will be sold on GOG too?
I do not own a credit card, and Mangagamer does not not offer payment with Paypal (the culprit is Paypal itself of course, but it's a shame), so, it's a bit difficult to buy anything from that site (yes, I know there are work-arounds, but these are cumbersome).
I would like to see that.
