As a heads I just want to say I hardly know how computers work. I apologize is this is a hella basic thing.

So I just downloaded Kholat and upon hitting the play button I get this error message.

The following component(s) are required to run this program

Microsoft Visual C ++ Runtime
}

Is this a single program? Do I have to buy it? What do I do?

NO. Just download it from Microsoft. Not sure what year Kholat needs. You can also check if it's bundled in the game folder and run it from there.

Glad you got it solved. I'm surprised that MS Visual C++ didn't install automatically during installation. Most games that need it, install it during the game install. When I installed Kholat, I didn't need to do a separate install, but on the other hand, it's possible that I already had it installed from some other game.

Anyhow, glad you got it fixed.
