So happy to see this here at last! I know some games provide free access to the GOG version if you already own a copy on Steam or disk; any chance of that with KSP, or will I need to cough up for DRM-free Kerbal carnage?

I dunno. I just bought it a second time :p...

Figured it was worth it. I only paid like 10 dollars for KSP a few years ago.

Seeing as the game was just released here, I wouldn't expect that to happen for a while if ever. It's up to you. (Perhaps wait for a bigger sale.)
Fair enough
The game is DRM-free on Steam as well, so you know.
You don't say? I wasn't even aware that was possible.

There is even a thread on the subject.

You can only update it throught Steam though, so its not totally drm free.

If you open Launcher.exe, there's an 'Update' button.

Wow, I asked about this on the official forums when the whole paid mod thing with Steam happen. I was told I couldn't update outside of Steam, thanks for letting me know.
I'v just entered this forums for the same question!

I would only buy DLCs here. I'v stopped buying things on steam since a while now and there is no way for me to buy the DLC there. For example AOW3 has some updates I would buy if I could transfer AOW3 to gog. But since there is no transfer option I just do not buy them. I really want to get rid of steam.

NOT TRUE AT ALL
STEAM IS DRM.
If you don't log in online for a certain period of time NO steam games will work until you go back online...

I'm impressed that you necro'd a 6 year old thread in order to be loudly and completely wrong about something. Well done.
