Update status: Crossbows and robot limbs won't be released for a few weeks - the update needs hella more polishing up. The last map area will likely be released some time afterwards.

Until then bear with us, it will be worth the wait.

Has 0.98.X been uploaded to GOG? I'd like to support the game and GOG by buying it here.

Yes if you're using Galaxy, you'll need to turn experimental builds on (there's a thread in this very forum explaining how, or answer me here and I'll explain).

Totally worth playing the 'unstable' version imo.

And totally worth playing the game: i've put over 150 hours into it over tha last few weeks.

Thanks... just curious is it Galaxy only or can you direct download it? I've never bought an in-dev game from GOG before.

Beta branches are only available through Galaxy, GOG only offers stable versions for direct download; which makes quite some sense: GOG tests every file and update before making it available for direct download and that would defeat the purpose of in-dev beta branches, so they offer an opt-in way for devs and customers to get them via Galaxy.

At least the Kenshi dev is nice enough to make them available for GOG users at the same time as other platforms; I have another in-dev game here that's many versions behind steam because the devs keep making excuses about how hard it is to offer beta branches on GOG... imo, it can't be that hard if a 1-man team like Kenshi's can do it regularly.

Hope all this is useful to you.

Edit: PS- turning the beta branches on after installing the game is just a matter of 3 clicks, in case you're afraid it's a complicated process ;)

You're most welcome :)

And just to illustrate the point from my previous post: there's been 3 updates since I posted it :)

We're now up to 0.98.16, this is very exciting, the last zone of the map must be just around the corner!
