I checked a walkthrough because I just could not get to where I needed to go (under the rope bridge). The walkthrough mentioned using a coiled rope to climb down, but I do not have one, nor do I see one anywhere. I don't see that this is a known bug, can someone tell me what I am missing so I can finish the game?

I recently played through the game myself... there is some item interdependencies between the different timezones you jump to. The coiled rope is actually found in the DaVinci Workshop timezone, in front of a locked door in an outdoor area. After you pick it up you can go back and use it to climb down.
